What is a chocolate banana popsicle?
Chocolate banana popsicles are delicious frozen treats made with ripe bananas, coconut milk, cocoa powder and maple syrup, which are then poured into popsicle moulds and frozen until solid
These popsicles are perfect for hot summer days or as a sweet and healthy snack any time of the day.

Ingredients to make chocolate banana ice pops
Banana - ripe bananas are used
Sweetener - Maple syrup is used, but can use honey or sugar
Milk - coconut milk is used to make it vegan. But you can use any milk you prefer
Cocoa powder - unsweetened cocoa powder is used
Vanilla extract - optional

How to make chocolate banana popsicles
The main ingredients for this recipe is the ripe bananas
In a blender or food processor, blend together the bananas, coconut milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
Pour the chocolate mixture into the popsicle mold and insert popsicle sticks into each mould.
Place it in the freeze for at least 4-6 hours or overnight
To remove the popsicles from the moulds, run them under warm water for a few seconds to loosen them up.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Substitutions and Variations
Chocolate banana pops: Place each banana popsicle on a lined baking sheet, dip ¾ of it with melted chocolate, top with chopped nuts, and place it back in the freezer for 20 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.

Peanut butter: Add a dollop of peanut butter to the mixture for a creamy and nutty twist.
Strawberry: Mix in some fresh or frozen strawberries to make strawberry banana popsicles

Tips and tricks

- For a smoother texture, blend the mixture in a blender or food processor before pouring it into the popsicle molds.
- To make the popsicles even more chocolaty, add a tablespoon or two of Choco chips to the mixture.
- If you don't have popsicle molds, you can use paper cups instead.
- To remove the popsicles from the molds, run the molds under warm water for a few seconds to loosen them up.
- Adjust the maple syrup according to your desired sweetness.
- Use thick and full-fat coconut milk to get that creamy and richness in the ice pops

Yes, you can use small disposable cups as molds to make ice lollies. Fill cups with your popsicle mixture and cover them with aluminium foil. Carefully make a hole through the foil and insert popsicle sticks. If you don’t have wooden sticks, simply use spoons in place of sticks.
