Semiya Kesari Recipe - Is an easy and delicious Indian sweet dessert which is prepared with minimal ingredients. You can make this dish in less than 30 minutes.
We usually make this recipe for many occasions like birthdays, gatherings and even we offer it to god as a prasadam.

SEMIYA KESARI RECIPE WITH STEP WISE INSTRUCTIONS:
Ingredients:
- Vermicelli/Semiya – 1cup
- Sugar – ¾ cup
- Ghee – 4 Tbsp
- Cardamom powder – ½ Tsp
- Nuts (cashew, raisins) – 3 to 4 Tbsp
- Orange food colour a pinch (optional)
- Water – 2 cups
Preparation:
Heat a pan, add ghee and allow it to melt.
Add cashew, raisins and roast them until they turn into a golden colour. Take them into a bowl and keep aside.
In the same pan add semiya and roast on low flame until it turns into golden colour.
Add water, stir well. Cook it for 5 minutes on low flame stirring occasionally.
Add sugar and mix well. Allow the sugar to dissolve completely.
Next, add a pinch of orange food colour(optional) and mix well.
Cook on low flame until sugar is completely absorbed.
Then cardamom powder roasted nuts and mix well.
Once the mixture leaves the side of the pan, turn off the flame.
Transfer into a serving bowl and enjoy Semiya Kesari when is hot or cold.
Note:
Adjust the sugar according to your taste.
Adding food colour is optional.
