    How to make chicken pakora?

In a mixing bowl, add chicken pieces, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, pepper powder, ginger garlic paste and salt. Combine well.

Next add cornflour, rice flour and mix well properly so that chicken pieces are nicely coated.

Now add egg and combine well. If needed add 2 to 3 tablespoon of water. Make sure the chicken pieces are nicely coated in the mixture.

Heat a pan with oil for deep frying on medium flame. Once the oil is hot enough slowly add chicken pieces in small batches and fry until they turn crispy and changes their colour.

Repeat the same process with the remaining pieces.

Add curry leaves, slit green chillies into the oil and fry for few seconds and remove it

Now add the fried curry leaves and green chillies over the chicken pieces and toss well.

Transfer into a serving plate and enjoy it by squeezing a lemon over the bites along with sliced onions.

    Serving suggestions

These chicken pakoras are so good on their own and don't need any accompaniment. In Restaurant, they serve the pakoda with Green chutney and Kachumba salad

    Tips

    • Make sure the chicken pieces are nicely coated the mixture.
    • Add only 2 to 3 tablespoon of water if required only.
    • If you don't like egg, add 2- 3 tablespoon of yogurt.
    • Adjust the flours to get the right consistency.
    • Oil should be hot enough while frying the chicken bites otherwise it will be oily.
