Grilled Tandoori Chicken Tikka is a popular Indian dish prepared in so many different ways. Today I am sharing a very simple and straightforward method of preparing this dish by marinating the chicken pieces with yoghurt and spices. Then refrigerate overnight or at least for 1 hour before cooking.
Ingredients:
- Chicken thigh fillets -500grams
- Ginger-1 inch
- Garlic pods-5
- Green chilli-1
- Kashmir chili powder-1tsp
- Coriander powder -1tsp
- Cinnamon powder-¼tsp
- Garam masala -½tsp
- Red Chilli powder-½tsp
- Yogurt/curd-4tbsp
- Gram flour/Besan/chickpea flour-2tbsp
- Butter-1tbsp
- Chaat masala-1tsp
- Oil-1tbsp
- Salt to taste
Preparation:
1.Clean and wash the chicken. Cut the chicken into medium size pieces and keep aside
2. In a mixer, add garlic, ginger and green chili. Grind into a coarse paste
3. In a bowl, add curd and gram flour. Mix without any lumps. Next, add the ground paste along with remaining spices and mix well. 4. Cover the bowl with clingfilm and refrigerate overnight.
4.Preheat the oven to 200°C
5.Skew the chicken into the sticks and place in the oven for around 20-25 mins and turn every 10 mins so that they’re cooked evenly
6. In the middle, brush the pieces with butter so that chicken pieces remain soft and juicy
7. Finally, sprinkle chaat masala over the chicken tikka pieces and enjoy!
