    Jangri

    Hope every one enjoyed New Year greatly.Feeling very lazy to sit in front of system and blogging due to the bad weather here.whole day feeling like sleeping or sitting in front of heater.But from tomorrow the routine job will begin as my laky and hubby dear will start going to there works.Coming to the recipe,i want to the start the New year with a sweet,so i prepared this jangri on New year day it self.

    Preparation Time: 7 min
    Cooking Time : 25 min
    Recipe Type : Desserts/Sweets

    Ingredients:

    Urad dal-1cup(i used split ones)
    Sugar-3cups
    water-3cups
    Rice flour-1tbsp
    Food colour orange a pinch
    Oil or ghee for frying

    Preparation:

    Wash and soak the urad dal for at least 1hour.
    Drain the water and grind to a fine paste till the consistency of glue sticking.Transfer the batter into bowl.

    Now add food colour and rice flour to the bowl.Mix well.

    Pour the batter in a zip lock bag.Make a small hole at the cornerof a bag.
    Heat oil in a shallow frying pan,prepare jangri's in concentric circular form by slowly pressing the bag.

    Fry these jangris on low heat till crispy.Soak hot jangri's in sugar syrup not more than few minutes.

    For making sugar syrup.

    Add equal quantity of sugar and water and bring to boil on low flame till sugar melts.Then boil on medium flame for 10mints.Remove from the hob.

    serve hot and enjoy!
