Eggless Whole wheat Cookies are delicious and crunchy just like bakery cookies which can be made with wheat flour or Maida. To make it little healthier I used whole wheat flour. These are perfect tea time cookies.
Here goes my 6th recipe for Bake a thon hosted by Srivalli of Cooking 4 all Seasons.
Step by step pictures of Eggless whole wheat cookies
Ingredients:
- Whole wheat flour-11/2 cup (I used chapati wheat flour)
- Unsalted butter-½ cup
- Powdered sugar-½ cup
- Custard powder-2tbsp
- Baking powder-1tsp
- Salt-½tsp
- Milk as required
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 180°C
Line and grease the baking tray with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, powdered sugar until they are creamy and fluffy.
Sift the flour, baking powder and custard powder in the butter mixture, along with salt. Mix them well.
Add 2 tablespoon of milk to the mixture and combine well to form a soft dough. If the dough is dry add one more tablespoon of milk.
Now roll the dough in chapati shape and cut them into cookies using a cookie cutter.
Now place the cookies carefully in a baking tray and bake for 10-14 minutes or until you see the edges turning into golden colour. (Here mine done at 13 mins)
Then allow it to cool in the baking tray for 5 minutes before transferring on to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy delicious and tasty whole wheat cookies.

Hi Surbhi, Thank you for trying the recipe.May be you baked more, or while kneading, the dough must be hard.
