Egg Fried Rice

I have prepared Egg fried rice for my lunch today.After long time i have prepared this rice.It is one of my favourite rice.Also it takes less time to prepare.


Basmati rice-2cups
chopped veggies(carrot,beans,peas
Spring onions-1bunch
Soya sauce-1tbsp
Pepper pwd-1tsp
Ajinomoto a pinch
Black cumin seeds-1tsp
Salt to taste


Wash and soak rice for 10mints.Drain the water from the rice and keep aside.

Heat a pan with oil,add cumin seeds once they splutter,add 3cups of water along with required salt.Bring water to boil,add rice and cook on high flame for few mints.Simmer the flame and cook till rice is done.

Spread the cooked rice to cool. In such a way that the rice separates into grains.

Chop springs onions and keep aside.

Heat a nonstick pan with oil,add chopped spring onions and fry them for few mints.Add veggies and cook till they become transparent.

Add Soya sauce and mix well .So that all veggies are nicely mixed up.

Add the cooked rice along with salt and ajinomoto.Mix well.

Note:Add small amount of salt here.Because we have already added salt to the rice while cooking.

In mean time beat eggs in a bowl with salt.
Heat a pan with enough oil ,add the beaten eggs and make egg scramble and keep aside.

Now add this egg scramble to the rice and mix well.Finally add pepper pwd.Mix well.

Transfer into a serving bowl and enjoy tasty tasty Egg Fried Rice.
