Cinnamon Rolls with Puff Pastry is very easy and simple to prepare with minimal ingredients and the taste is really awesome. My daughter is very fond of cinnamon, when she saw these, she jumped and hugged me. After tasting the rolls, she told that they are very yummy. I am happy that the rolls came very well and everyone is my home like it.
If you don’t have time to prepare these in a traditional method, then you can definitely try making these with puff pastry.
Step by step pictures of making Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients:
- Puff Pastry sheet-375 grams
- Packed dark brown sugar -½cup +1tbsp extra
- Melted unsalted butter-¼cup
- Cinnamon Powder-1tbsp
- Powdered Sugar/Icing Sugar-¼cup
- Milk-2tbsp
- Vanilla extract-1tsp
Preparation:
Thaw the puff pastry sheet as per packaging instructions.
In a bowl, add melted butter, cinnamon powder, dark brown sugar and mix everything well without any lumps. Keep aside.
Carefully unfold the pastry sheet onto a clean surface.
Spread the butter, cinnamon mixture evenly onto the pastry sheet leaving 1 cm from the edges.
Sprinkle brown sugar on the sheet and roll up carefully. Keep the rolled sheet in the fridge for 10 minutes.
To make glazing:
In another small bowl, mix powdered sugar along with milk and vanilla extract for glazing. Keep aside.
In meanwhile preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius or 356 Fahrenheit
Grease and line the baking tray with parchment paper.
Once 10 minutes is done, cut the pastry roll into even pieces and place it on the baking tray.
Bake for 20-22 minutes or until they turn into golden colour. (mine done at 20 minutes)
After taking it from the oven allow it to cool in the tray for 5 minutes.
Then drizzle the icing on the cinnamon rolls and enjoy them warm or cold.
