First time i made these Badhusha's.It came really very soft n every one in my home enjoyed eating. These days i am not getting time to do blogging as my son is nearing to 11/2yr my attention is full on him.He always revolves in the kitchen itself pulling all the dishes. So i have stay behind him where every he moves.
For Dough:
All Purpose flour/Maida-2cup
Butter-100gms
Salt a pinch
Baking soda-¼tsp
Water as required
For syrup:
sugar-1cup
Water-1cup
Oil for deep frying(even you add few spoons of ghee also)
Sieve the flour and baking soda into a bowl.
Add butter(butter should be at room temperature if its in fridge means remove it before 1hour) to the flour and mix with your hand well without any lumps. Now add salt and required water to form a soft n elastic dough. You should the dough for at least 10mints to get soft .Leave it aside for 10mints by covering with kitchen towel.
Heat a pan with oil on medium flame.Again knead the dough and divide into very small balls like we make poori's.Take one small ball into your hand and press in between your palms. Then with your thumb finger press in the middle to form a hole. The hole should not go inside just press it.
Repeat the same procedure for the remaining balls and fry them in oil in batch's i.e at a time 4or5.On medium flame till it turns light golden colour.
Take a pan,add sugar and water and mix well.Cook on low flame for 10mints and switch off the hob.Now dip the fried badhusha's in the syrup for 2mints on both sides and remove it.Place it them on kitchen towel to cool and dry. Then store it in an airtight container and enjoy eating!
