Hi Friends,How are you all .Hope you all are rocking with your delicious food in your awesome blogs.It has been long time for me to see u all,after my second kid was born it became hard for me to see my blog and post.At the same time we shifted from India to UK with 2kids .Its really tough time for me to manage both of them in new place.At the same time i was thinking of my blog..that i have taken long gap from blog.Slowly i managed them and i have done few changes to my blog and started to post.Hope you people will support me as you are doing before.
Coming to the recipe today i have prepared vegetable biryani..and my daughter liked it very much and she asked me to do the same one everyday.
Ingredients needed:
Basmati Rice - 2 cup
Butter - 2 tbsp
Onions, chopped as julinne - 2 medium
Tomatoes - 2 medium
Ginger Garlic paste - 1tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Green Chilles - 2 nos
Turmeric Powder - a pinch
Mixed Vegetables, chopped - 1 cup (Carrot, Beans,peas Potatoes)
Bay Leaf - 1
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cloves - 2
Cardomon - 1
Coriander Leaves - for garnishing
Water - 3 cups
Curd-2tbsp
Salt to taste
Preparation:
1.Clean and soak Basmati rice for 15 mins in water.
2.Heat the butter in a non-stick pan. Add all the whole spices, onions, Green Chillies. Sauté till the onions become brown in colour.
3.Then add ginger garlic paste. Fry for 1 min, then add the Vegetables, chopped tomatoes, coriander leaves, salt and chilli powder.Fry for 5 mins with lid covered.Then add curd and mix well so that all the vegetables are nicely coated with the spices.
4.Then add drained rice and fry gently so that the rice is coated well in butter and at the same it does not get broken.
5.Add about 3cups of water in which the rice was soaked. Cook in high for 2 mins, once it starts boiling, sim and cook for 10 mins or till the rice is well cooked.
6.Finally Serve with Onion raita.
