Drumstick Masala is a tasty and simple curry which is served with plain rice or even with roti, it will taste delicious. Usually, I prepare sambar with drumstick but this the first time I tried making this masala with ginger garlic paste, chilli powder and coriander powder. The masala curry came out very well and we enjoyed it.

Ingredients:
- Drumsticks -250 grams
- Chopped onions – 1
- Chopped tomatoes -2
- Ginger garlic paste -1tsp
- Chilli powder- 1 ½ tsp
- Coriander powder-1 ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
- Grated Coconut -2tbsp
- Mustard and urad dal-1 tsp
- Oil-1tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves a handful
- Curry leaves a strand
Preparation:
Wash and cut the drumsticks lengthwise and keep aside.
Next grind grated coconut with water into a smooth thick paste.
Heat a non-stick pan with oil, add mustard seeds, urad dal and allow them to crackle. Then add curry leaves along with chopped onions and fry for few minutes till they change their colour.
Add ginger garlic paste and sauté it till raw smell goes out. Next add chopped tomatoes followed by chilli powder, coriander powder. Mix well.
Then add drumstick and fry for a minute on high flame and add 1cup of water along with salt and cook on medium flame till drumsticks are fully cooked, it takes about 10-15 minutes only.
Add the ground coconut paste and cook till the gravy thickness or your desired consistency. Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy!
