Today i have prepare this Punjabi Kadi Pakoras for my lunch and it came really well.First time i am preparing this dish. This dish is adapted from "Bombay Foodie" of Simran and sending to "ICC"by Srivalli.

    Ingredients:

    For Pakoras:

    Besan/Gram flour/Chickpea flour-½cup
    Lengthwise chopped Onion-1medium
    Chilli pwd-½tsp
    Salt to taste
    Water
    Oil for frying

    For Kadi:

    Curd/Yogurt-1cup
    Besan/Gram flour/Chickpea flour

    Mustard seeds-1tsp
    Ajwain/Carmon seeds-1tsp
    Chopped onion-1large
    Turmeric Pwd-½tsp
    Chilli pwd-½tsp
    Garam masala-½tsp
    Amchur pwd-½tsp
    Salt to taste
    Water-3cups
    Oil-2tbsp

    Preparation:

    For Pakoras:

In a bowl mix besan, salt, chilli pwd along with water to get a batter of semi thick .

Heat a pan with oil for frying, when oil is hot,dip the onions which we chopped into lengthwise in the batter and drop into the hot oil.Fry until they are crispy.

    Drain and keep aside.

    For Kadai:

Take a bowl and make a smooth paste of besan and curd by mixing up with water to form a thin batter.

Heat a kadai with oil,add all seeds, once they pop add chopped onions and fry till they turn light brown colour.

Add the mixture which we have prepared along with turmeric and chilli pwd and required salt and cook on medium flame until the gravy becomes thick. In middle-middle give a stir in order to prevent burning at the bottom.

Once the gravy becomes thick add the fried pakoras and bring to boil for 2mints.

Finally before removing from the hob add garam masala and amchur pwd.Transfer it into a serving bowl and enjoy tasty n delicious Punjabi Kadi Pakoras.
