We usually eat this Cabbage-Moong dal Kuttu with chapatis.It consumes very less time to prepare and the ingredients required are also very few.This time we had it with rice and it was really very good even with it.
Only time consumes in chopping the cabbage otherwise it will be done within 15mints.
Cabbage-250gms
Moongdal-½cup
chopped onions-2medium
Chopped tomatoes-2medium
Slit green chilli-1nos
Chilli pwd-1tsp
Coriander pwd-1tsp
Crushed garlic pods-3nos
Mustard+urd dal-1tsp
curry leaves
chopped coriander leaves
Turmeric pwd-½tsp
Salt to taste
Oil-2tbsp
Wash and chop cabbage into fine pieces.
Wash moongdal and keep aside.
Take a pressure cooker,add chopped cabbage,onions,tomatoes along with moongdal,chilli pwd,turmeric pwd and slit green chilli.Add 1cup of water and pressure cook for 2or3 whistles.
Once the pressure cool downs.Smash the cooked mixture with wooden spoon. Heat a pan with oil,add mustard+urd dal,crushed garlic pods ,curry leaves and fry them for few seconds.
Add the cooked mixture to it along with salt and mix well.If required add little water and cook with closed lid for 5mints on medium flame.
Finally before removing from the hob add chopped coriander leaves and transfer into a serving bowl and enjoy with rice or chapatis.
