Hi Friends, since last week i was not feeling well because of sever cold n cough. So i can't done the blogging. At the same time for my daughter laky the school have given 2weeks holidays as she completed her 1st term, managing two kids in the home n cooking had became very difficult.

Coming to the recipe i have prepared Aloo Kurma with rotis for my dinner yesterday. For this kurma i grinded coconut and poppy seeds together.

    Ingredients:

    Potatoes/Aloo-250gms
    Chopped Onions-2medium
    chopped Tomato's-2medium
    cloves-2
    Cinnamon-1
    Cardamom-2
    Ginger garlic paste-1tsp
    Red chilli Pwd-1tsp
    Coriander Pwd-1tsp
    Chopped coriander -1tbsp
    Cumin seeds-1tsp
    Oil-2tbsp
    Salt to taste

    To grind:

    Fresh coconut grated-2tbsp
    Poppy seeds-1tsp

    Preparation:

Peel the skin of potato's and cut into small pieces and boil for 10mints along with turmeric Pwd,because it cooks fast if we add turmeric Pwd OR you can wash and cut potatoes into half and pressure cook for 3whistles.

Heat a pan with oil,add cumin seeds along with spices once they pop up add chopped onions and fry till they turn into golden colour.Add ginger garlic paste and fry for few mints till raw smell goes out.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook with closed lid till they become soft. Then add the cooked potato's along with chilli n coriander pwd and fry for few mints and cook with closed lid for 5mints.Add 11/2cup of water with required salt and stir well and again cook on medium flam.

Add grounded coconut n poppy seeds paste to the mixture and mix well and cook for 5mints till the gravy becomes thick. Finally add the chopped coriander leaves and remove from the hob.

Transfer into a serving bowl and enjoy with rotis or any pulaos.

Sending this to "Cooking with seeds-Poppy" hosted by Sudeshna of "Cook Like a Bong" and started by Priya of "Priya's Easy N Tasty Recipes".
