    Achar Gosht Curry And An Award

    Today i made Achar Gosht curry which means chicken curry with spices.It came very well and tasted greatly with rotis.This curry can be made with meat also.

    Ingredients:

    Chicken-250gms(small cubes)
    Ginger garlic paste-2tsp
    Tomato 2medium nos(Make puree)
    Yogurt-½cup
    Chopped onions-2medium nos
    Turmeric a pinch
    Chopped coriander leaves
    Red chili pwd-½tsp
    Lemon juice-2tbsp
    Oil-2tbsp
    Salt to taste

    Dry Roast and Grind:

    Fenugreek leaves-1tsp
    Nigella seed/black cumin-1tsp
    Black pepper seeds-1tsp
    Green cardamom-2nos
    Cinnamon-1
    Bay leaves a few
    Mace-1
    Fennel seeds/poppy-½tsp
    Star-1

    Preparation:

    Clean and cut chicken into small cubes and keep aside.

    Take a bowl add chicken cubes along with grinded powder,lemon juice with salt and mix well and keep aside.

    Heat a pan with oil,add chopped onions and fry till they turn into pink colour.Add ginger garlic paste along with tomato puree and fry them well till raw smell goes.

    Add the marinated chicken cubes along with yogurt and chill,coriander pwd and mix well.Fry for few mints on high flame and then cook on medium flame with closed lid for 10mints.

    Add ½ cup of water and cook again with closed lid till the gravy becomes thick and chicken is cooked.
    Once chicken is cooked add chopped coriander leaves before removing from the hob.

    Transfer into a serving bowl and enjoy greatly with rotis or rice.

    Note:Adjust the grinding ingredients accordingly to your taste.
