Ingredients
  • Black eyed bean - 1 cup
  • Chopped onions - 2 nos
  • Chopped tomatoes - 2 nos
  • Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 1/2 Tsp
  • Bay leaves - 1 nos
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - A handful
  • Coriander leaves - to garnish
Instructions
  1. Soak the beans for 5 to 6 hours and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles
  2. Heat the pan with oil and add cumin seeds, once the splatter add the bay leaves along with onions and fry them till they are translucent
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell goes
  4. Then add tomatoes along with red chilli powder and coriander powder and mix well
  5. Now add the cooked beans and mix them well. Cook on low flame for 5 to 10 minutes
  6. Now, add the required water for the curry and adjust the salt. Then add curry leaves
  7. Close the lid and cook till the curry thicken

  8. Finally, garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice or chapatis
