Schezwan Fried Rice Recipe | Veg Fried Rice

Schezwan Fried Rice is a popular Indo-Chinese dish made with cooked rice and a variety of vegetables tossed in a mix of piquant and spicy sauces.

  • 2 cups Pre cooked basmati rice
  • 1 teaspoon Chopped galic cloves
  • ½ inch Chopped ginger
  • 2 tablespoon Carrots fine chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Cabbage
  • 2 tablespoon French bean
  • 2 tablespoon Capsicum
  • ¼ cup Spring onions
  • 2 tablespoon Schezwan sauce
  • 2 teaspoon Soya sauce
  • ½ tablespoon White vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoon Oil


  • Heat a wok or pan, add oil once it is hot enough add chopped garlic and ginger and saute for few minutes.
  • Now add chopped cabbage, carrot, french beans, capsicum and half of the spring onions and fry on high flame for 2-3 minutes without burning the veggies.
  • Then add schezwan sauce, soya sauce and white vinegar and combine well.
  • Add the pre-cooked rice and mix well without breaking the grains.
  • Now add black pepper powder and salt according to your taste and mix well.
  • Finally, add the remaining spring onions and switch off the flame.



  • Adjust the sauces according to your taste.
  • Add your favourite veggies to make this rice
