In a large mixing bowl, add butter, brown sugar, white sugar and cream them with a wooden spoon until sugar is combined with butter.
Then add an egg, vanilla extract and beat well. Keep aside
In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking soda and add salt.
Now add all the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients bowl and mix them all together until it forms into a dough.
Now add the chocolate chips and mix well. (don’t over mix the dough)
Then cover the dough with cling film and keep in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hour.
Once the dough is chilled, preheat the oven to 180°C
Line and grease the baking tray with parchment paper and keep aside.
Using a round tablespoon, scoop the chilled dough spoon full and roll into a ball and place it on a greased baking tray.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the edges turn into golden colour. (mine done at 15 minutes)
Allow it to cool in the baking tray for 5 minutes and then transfer it on a wire rack to cool completely.
