Chocolate Pudding Recipe | Simple Pudding Recipe

Chocolate Pudding is a treat for all chocoholics. It is a simple dessert baked until a light sponge surrounded with a rich and creamy chocolate centre. My kids enjoyed it very well. It can be served hot or cold with a scoop of ice-cream on it or you can have it like that.

Ingredients

  • Plain flour/Maida/All-purpose flour – 50 grams
  • Unsalted butter -50 grams
  • Caster Sugar -120 grams
  • Dark chocolate -250 grams
  • Large Eggs – 4
  • Salt-½tsp
  • Vanilla extract – 11/2 tsp

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400 °F /Gas 6).
  • Then Butter the sides of the muffin cases/moulds and set aside. I could not find my moulds so here I used muffin cases.
  • Then melt the dark chocolate using double boiler method until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth or you can melt in the microwave. Here I melted the chocolate in the microwave in a burst of 30 seconds until it is smooth.
  • In a bowl of a stand mixer, fitted with a paddle attachment beat the unsalted butter and sugar until they are combined well and smooth. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after adding each egg.
  • Then add vanilla extract followed by sifted flour, salt and beat on low speed until everything is combined.
  • Finally add the melted chocolate and combine everything well.
  • Afterwards divide the mixture equally into the muffin cases and bake for 12-15 mins or until the sides are set but when you touch in the centre with your fingers it should be soft. I baked exactly for 15 mins.
  • After taking it out from the oven, take an individual serving plate and carefully invert the muffin cases and peel the cases slowly and serve the pudding hot.
