Chocolate Cake Pops Recipe | How to make Cake Pops

Chocolate cake pops are very popular these days. Whenever I go for kids’ birthday parties, I see these cake pops compulsory in their parties. These homemade cake pops are much better than the store brought ones. My kids love these cake pops very much. Whenever I make cups or cakes first thing, they ask is mummy when are going to make cake pops. So, to surprise them I made these pops. They were very happy when they saw them. Here goes the recipe.

  • Chocolate cake

For Chocolate Ganache:

    Dark chocolate-300g

      Double cream-150ml

        Unsalted butter-1tbsp

        • For Chocolate Coating:
        • Candy Melts-2cups
        • Sprinkles

        • For chocolate Ganache Heat the chocolate and double cream in a microwave-safe bowl for 30sec-1minute, until the chocolate melts. Remove the bowl and whisk the mixture until smooth. Cover the bowl and leave it on the counter top to get ganache thick.
        • Crumble the cake into a bowl and add the ganache and combine everything well until we are able a form a ball out of the mixture
        • Take a small mixture into your hands and start rolling slowly in between your palms into a ball and place it on baking tray lined with parchment paper
        • Do the same process until you finish the whole mixture
        • Here I got approx. 20 cake pops, place these in the fridge for 20-25 mins until they set.
        • Meanwhile melt the candy melts in microwave and keep ready
        • Dip the lollipop sticks in the melted chocolate and then slowly push into cake pops through halfway.
        • Repeat the same process with the remaining ones
        •  Now dip each cake pops in the chocolate until it is completely covered. Gentle tap your hand to drop the excess coating from the cake pops.
        • keep them upright on a foam and they will set within 1hour. Before they get set sprinkle your ones on them and enjoy these delicious homemade cake pops.
        •  You can keep them in refrigerator up to 1 week, but I think they won’t last that much time. My kids finished them into 2 days.
