Heat a pan with1tbsp of ghee, add the nuts and fry them. Remove and keep aside in a plate.
In the same pan add Rava/semolina and roast on medium flame till you get a nice aroma from the rava. Try not to burn the rava. Remove it to a plate.
In a pan add 2 cups water along with sugar, crushed cardamom pods, saffron and orange food colour. Bring the water to boiling and slowly add the roasted rava and stir well so that there are no lumps.
cover the pan and cook on low flame until water evaporates.
Finally, add the roasted nuts and remaining ghee and mix well.
Transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy delicious Rava Kesari.
