ARBI STIR FRY

Stir-fry recipe with Arbi/Chamagadda Which is very easy to prepare and can be done with in15-20mintues.It can be served as a side dish along with rice.

Ingredients

  • 250 grms Arbi/Chamagadda
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Coriander powder
  • Curry leaves Handful
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • ½ teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • ½ teaspoon Split urad dal
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • Salt as taste

Instructions

  • Wash and pressure cook the Arbi in a cooker for 1 whistle or boil in hot for 10 minutes.
    2.Once cooled remove the skin and chop into small pieces.
    3.Take a pan, heat with 2tsp of oil and then pop mustard, urad dal, and cumin seeds. Once they crackle add curry leaves.
    4.To the pan add the boiled Arbi pieces along with all spices and required salt and sauté well so that all spices coated with Arbi pieces.
    5.Fry on low flame for 5-10 minutes without covering the pan.

Notes

 Please do not cover the pan with the lid while cooking, otherwise, arbi will become soggy.
