Add washed, hauled and chopped strawberries and sugar into a mixing bowl.
With the help of a fork or masher mash them thoroughly.
Divided the strawberry puree into two equal parts and keep aside.
In another mixing bowl, add double cream and whip it with an electric hand blender into a stiff peak
Add the half of strawberry puree to whipped cream mixture and fold it until it is completely mixed.
Then add vanilla extract to the mixture and give a quick mix.
Divide the remaining puree between four individual medium glass cups.
Top it with strawberry mousse and refrigerate for at least for 1 hour or even longer more if desired.
Serve with a sliced strawberry on top and enjoy!
