Wash and cut the drumsticks lengthwise and keep aside.
Next grind grated coconut with water into a smooth thick paste.
Heat a non-stick pan with oil, add mustard seeds, urad dal and allow them to crackle. Then add curry leaves along with chopped onions and fry for few minutes till they change their colour.
Add ginger garlic paste and sauté it till raw smell goes out. Next add chopped tomatoes followed by chilli powder, coriander powder. Mix well.
Then add munakkaya and fry for a minute on high flame and add 1cup of water along with salt and cook on medium flame till drumsticks are fully cooked, it takes about 10-15 minutes only.
Add the ground coconut paste and cook till the gravy thickness or your desired consistency. Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy!
